AA does reduce redline btw.

DCT can overcome a lot of power. I've raced some serious cars with more power and won that were manual or traditional auto. Remember that during shifts, power is cut to the wheels. If it's a 3-4 shift race, that's a lot of time difference that's power to the wheels in DCT vs stick or auto.
