I can't say Ive experienced anything like this, but if you push the DSP settings too far you can get some distortion which might be what you are describing. Difficult to say without hearing it.

It sounds like a static click that I can hear, it is easier to hear with audible and is random times between clicks. Don’t get it when using idrive native.
I’m going to replace the most cable over the weekend and see if that helps. I didn’t replace this when I fitted the new unit.
Didn’t get it on the P2000 light version I had before.
I will also contact support and see what they have to say.
