It's seems a rare problem but the few people I've had contact with haven't found a solution.

Today I took the plenum off and ran it. Don't have an exact answer as I will be doing the same again over the weekend but it's related to the idle control valve and the fuel breather valve.

Now, if l clamp the rubber hose between the two, the sounds is X2 worse and I can induce it, it's not a coicendence. So restricting the feed gives maximum noise. Which leads me to think the fuel breather valve has been on its way out for a while but not broken enough to induce any unsettled idle or caused issues with a full fuel tank.

I'll be doing it again to isolate if it's the idle control valve squealing or something within the head. I really hope it's the former!

How long has yours been doing it? I found UK and US guys so it's not just an NA or Europe problem.
