In this instance, the user’s infractions are from a few years ago when he was employed at a BMW dealership and tried to advertise vehicles without being a site sponsor. However, he seems to have legitimately bought/sold a number of items on the forum since. I do notice increased hostility in more recent posts. So it appears to be yet another case where a once-functioning member of the community has turned to criminal activity.

I’ve banned his account and will delete any open sales threads. He could try to re-register so be on the lookout.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your experience, OP. But I am glad you used PayPal and were able to get your money back. Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention.
