G8 and GTO are similar somewhat, but the G8 has a lot more room in the rear.

For Example, I can (and currently do) run VMR 18x9.5 +45 and don't rub with a 275/40. I changed to a 285/40, and had to roll slightly to avoid the rub. There is still plenty of room on the interior side though.

I was very interested in that 18x9.5 +58, but I want concavity in the rear. With those only being profile 1, I don't think I'll like the look. Plus, I'd have to run 18x8.5 +45 Profile 1 with that +58 to have the same outer position. Anything else (like the preferred 18x8.5 +35) would stick out further in front than the rear, and that'd look silly in my opinion.

So, I am going to go with the 18x9.5 +43 in the rear which is Profile 2. And I can run a 275/40 or 285/40. Both will fit since I rolled, but even an unrolled g8 should fit the 275/40 with that wheel in the rear.

As for the front, not sure if I want to go with the 18x8.5 +35 or 18x9 +42. I think a 255 tire would fit better on the 18x9 rather than 18x8.5. (I currently have 255/40/18 on 18x8.5 +35 VMRs up front).

18x9.5 +43 square has cossed my mind many times too, lol. Like I said, I have to really think this over.

Any questions on the G8, just let me know. I've gone through many sets of wheels and tested a lot of fitments out.
