That's a great point, particularly since people are putting in Xw40 in their cars to "protect" their rod bearings. The reality here is that there is a general lack of meaning between what someone sees in these oil tests and any real world application. I've never heard of an engine fail exclusively because of an issue with the oil itself (other than having too little oil or never changing the oil).
