San Antonio refiners Valero Energy Corp. and Tesoro Corp. are listed among two possible bidders for Citgo Petroleum Corp. in a deal, which some people say could fetch up to $10 billion for Venezuela’s state-run oil company PDVSA, Reuters reported Wednesday.
Many Citgo stations are rebranding themselves as Valero, but continue to sell Venezuelan-derived fuel.
