My opinion, I think up to fixed backs, harness (4-6pt) and HANS is OK before going with a cage. Yeah, the fixed back seat won't fold and I may be supporting the car with my head in a rollover...but I also don't want my seat to break and then have my upper body flop around.
Beyond that, cage with at least a forward hoop.

I had to share this. No way in hell I would get a cage that requires bolting to the wheel wells.
