I wasn't able to get mine pop back out since a few weeks ago and I assumed the spring was broken.

After the kids went to bed early last night, I decided to take out the cup holder and just have a look at it.

To my surprise, it wasn't broken at all, I just wiped it clean and put it back in and now it's working fine again.

Even if it was really broken, it wasn't going to be an expensive replacement anyway (by BMW standard). But fixing little things like this kind of made my day, or night

Now, looking forward to take care of the more serious issues such as rod bearings, throttle actuators and driveshaft...

I had a problem with one cup holder getting jammed up in my 335...took it apart and one of the gears were jacked up. I removed the gear and the holder shot out like a slingshot LOL. No more having to wait for a slow ass cup holder to slide out.
