Those 30+ shots stats are very misleading. Sometimes he starts off hot or cold which relates to the offense being out of sync and when they are down in double digits during the fourth he plays hero kobe ball trying to bring them back. At times this would work or it could backfire. Keep in mind he gets least 3-4 grenade shots simply cause pau didnt assert himself or just pass the ball around which results to "just give kobe the ball with 7 secs". On the contrary if you look at the lakers stats when kobe shots under 20 attempts they have a better winning rate. You can relate this with good team ball movement everyone is scoring so he dont need to play kobe ball, it goes both ways.

Anyways kobe's usage rate was a league leading 38% which is eye popping, shaq (lakers) days his all time high was 36% iirc. kobe is being over worked in this brown system, new offense, condense season or hes just trying to prove hes still an elite player at 33 with tons of mins played or maybe all of the above.
