LOl you must be crazy. Why SLC of all places? What's so good about SLC? What is even in SLC?
I'm from NYC too (Queens to be exact), I've been around the world and can never imagine living anywhere else other than NYC or at least 40 min to 1 hour (max) away from it.
If you don't like NYC, perhaps try the north shore of LI or Westchester, Fort Lee NJ, Alpine NJ.
