Why would I pay $$$ to get a brand new M3, drive it for 2000 miles and try to trade it in or sell? I buy cars to drive for a while, or until they're too expensive to fix. Don't tell me your friend got tired of his new M3 after only 2K miles. If he really did, the depreciation loss probably doesn't faze him.
