I agree and I can't believe nobody has figured it out. It wouldn't make any sense for any other hardware differences beyond the SZL, and the button assemblies are the same (aside from the labels on each button). My only guess is some coding or wiring input related to the stereo, but I'm not expert and tried several things with no luck.
