That doesn't make any sense at all. I'll take a look at the button assemblies and wiring to see if there's any difference, but there shouldn't be. Something is missing from the coding, I really really doubt there is more hardware differences. I fail to see how that is possible considering how that gear functions. Unless there is a pinpout difference, too...
