Update-
Carsara support claims that they have installed these units on many cars and this is the first time they have heard about the controller connectivity issue. They requested pictures of the harness, connectors and another video of connecting everything using method 1 to troubleshoot the issue with their "engineer".
Anyways, they concluded that I might have a faulty harness and they will be mailing out a new replacement harness today.
Rob, when you get a chance, it would be helpful if you can try installing it and see if you run into similar issues.
