More like $2000, if the price per seat of the leather cover (some $800) and the seat foam cushion/tight support ($125) is comparable to the E46 M3 Sport seats prices...
Sometimes I wonder how BMW make this kind of silly decisions... if they are that concerned about seat confort they should have not make Sport Seats standard in the M3, or at least offer some Comfort Seats as an option. Hey, after all somebody in BMWUSA found the seat bottoms in the
real M3 seats uncomfortable.
I guess that a lot of people buy the M3 without knowing what it is, and BMW is compensating for that with this half-ass (pun intended) solution . But then again, if ass comfort is the issue here, why buy an M3 in the first place? A very nice 550i is much more comfortable, at more or less the same price, with plenty of seat options for any "wide load".
So, what is the point of these hybrid M3/335i Sport Seats?
