This is a great idea, too! I've driven the 1SS, 2SS and 1LE Camaro SSes (
here,
here and
here, respectively) and they are all amazing performance cars that do comfort and performance as well as the E9X M3. (But not luxury...though you do get modern smart phone connectivity.) Plus, if you like to get a bit rowdy in your cars, the Camaro SS completely condones antisocial driving. Heck, the burble-tune exhaust crackles alone are enough to piss off the neighbors. The LT1 engine not quite as special as the S65 in my book, but it is easier to put to work thanks to its immediate low-end torque.
Regarding headroom in the Camaro SS, if you are over 6'0" tall, you may need to test to see if you can fit with a helmet. I'm 6'2" and my helmet was touching the ceiling of a sunroof car.
