If I want to try the Firehawk Indy 500 the combinations available Rear/Front are:

275/35/19 265/35/19
275/35/19 275/30/19
285/35/19 265/35/19
285/35/19 275/30/19

There are two new 285/35/19 on ebay that would allow me to try this tire inexpensively

TIA
I have not tested 285/35/19 in the rear. No reason to go there when 295/30/19 exists. However, I have seen 285/30/20 used in the past. It was a somewhat common size when 20" were installed on e9x back in the day. It will probably work.
The 285/35/19 is taller than the 285/30/20
So, as you already said, the 275/35/19 is safer size.
