It takes a lot of time. I tried a test spot on the bottom of my bumper prior to doing the hood, and I went quickly as per the directions. It didn't work out.

I then went to harbor freight and picked up a bunch of cloths, brushes and painters tape. But most importantly I got a floor mounted flood light. I am doing it only in taped off 1ft x 1ft sections with the flood light pointed at the chips to maximize visibility, and doing a few coats over each one. Rather than spreading a large amount of paint over the area, I am concentrating on each chip individually to make sure its complete. That 1x1 section took almost 2 hours to but it was well worth it with the results. Hope this helps!
