After my first event I went the gradual route and I regret it deeply, what a waste of money. If you put heavy deposits on the rotors quickly you will know what expensive means. Just skip the intermediate steps and get the right pads from the get go.

Exactly. I ran PFC01 without rattle clips before bbk and they performed very well overall (other than being very noisy on the street). YMMV.
