Pretty sure you're stuck with the Falken or the Toyo r-comps - I ran the FAlkens for a while on the street, and if you're going to put yourself through that, I think you might as well just get the R888R, at least the R888 gives you some better dry grip in trade for pretty horrendous wet grip

The conti is a surprisingly good track tire - it doesn't melt and chunk on track like most higher TW summer performance tires

You might also consider, if your car is light and relatively lower-powered, one of the wide 255/40-17's like the RS4. It's a shorter tire but almost as wide as the conti in 275 - that tire on a 10 is actually not stretched much at all, I've seen it in person on some track S2000's where it seems sorta popular on a 9.5 or 10 with flares
