On your new mac, i would suggest that you group all the music files into one folder so that your music library can easily be transferred through a simple USB flash drive. The problem with itunes is that it is simply just an organized list of all the music that could be anywhere on your computer. This is what makes it complicated to move your itunes library, itunes doesn't actually save any of it :P
