Affording $100k isn't the problem. It's affording the depreciation, maintenance and taxes.

I've read places that the per mile cost of ownership can range from as little as $1 per mile to $3/$4 and even $5 per mile if something goes wrong.

Now I could afford dropping $90k on the car. I couldn't afford dropping $10 - $15k per year on maintenance and depreciation on top of that though.
