Just got these on the car late last month. Long story short, Conti came out earlier this year with a true street tire I really like in a wide 17" size, and the weight, ride, cost benefits all make a great deal of sense on the street so I decided to try them and so far I like them the best of the half-dozen or so different street setups I've had on the car. The Arc8 17 roughly limits you to a brake setup that would fit under the stock 219M front wheel, but there are lots of good options that fit the bill
If you're into that kind of thing (I'm not lately), the cost savings of a 275/40-17 R-compound compared to a 275/35-18 add up fast too, they run on average about $20 less per tire
