They made too many of them to really appreciate $ wise to the point where it makes more sense to store than drive.
Your friend will get much more out of driving one of Ferraris greatest mid-engined NA V8s than he will by the market value increasing (which may even not happen)
Pile on the miles. The car isn't worth owning otherwise imo.
