Hell, my friend's bone stock Honda Civic randomly developed a crack in the engine block which led to a full engine replacement under warranty. All things considered, the S65 is a very reliable engine and I think it's silly to not own your attainable dream car over a few (literally) main bearing failure stories you read on the internet. I guess if you were just looking for an excuse to talk yourself out of it, so be it. The rest of us will simply cough up the $2k peace of mind entrance fee of swapping the rod bearings and drive our V8-powered M cars happily every after.
But that;s the thing, if it would just have been 2k rod bearing job and nothing else ok but looks like it's starting to be the mains to.
