Other way around. The problem has been associated only with the GT3 and more specifically the .1 GT3. Even though the .1, .2 GT3s, .1 turbos and GT2 share the venerable Mezger engine, aka GT1 block, only the GT3 (.1) has the oil issue. This also makes one consider why is it isolated to the GT3 (.1) when the turbo (too include the GT2) share the same block. As Porsche has stated the high rpm nature of the GT3 engine and the need for a vacuum seal has the seepage fallout.

The pre 2009 C2s, C4s, aka regular 911s have a wet sump (integrated dry sump in Porsche speak) which does not have any RMS issues. Of course these are street engines not a true dry sump racing derived engine as the GT1. The 2009 to date 911s have the 9A1 engine which is much better than its predecessor however not a true dry sump and not up to the GT1's standards.
