My car is in storage but from what I remember those images of your wheel gap seems off. I believe my car, with stock zcp wheels and tires, is about a 1 finger gap in the front and no gap in the rear. I am on e36 bumpstops but that shouldn't make any difference. The only thing I could suggest is bring it to a shop that's done a few of these and have them take a look at it...
