I still think people are getting a little crazy over this... unless it gets really hot AND you're flogging the car, either oil is going to lubricate the engine sufficiently. What's the highest oil temp you saw since July?
Case in point... Most S62's spec either 5w30 or 10w60, they just burn a little more oil if you run 5w30. The guys that run them in Sweden run 5w30 or even thinner in winter.
I have noticed the S65 runs a bit hotter, but not alot hotter.
