There are several different sizes that will work. That is why I always recommend checking with the wheel manufacturer. They should know best as they have actually test fit their wheels on the car.
We list these sizes as being most appropriate for the vehicle:
Front - 255/35/19
Rear - 275/35/19

I know many M3 customers are running the slightly larger:
Front - 255/35/19
Rear - 285/35/19
Which is why I did not see a problem with it.

With that said, 275 and 295's seem very aggressive to me. If the wheel manufacturer can guarantee those to fit, then I do not see a problem with it. Although, that would be more aggressive than what Tire Rack can guarantee.
