What does PUMA stand for in BMW speak?

I took my car in last week for an inspection after hearing a loud rubbing or binding noise from the rear end on tight right turns when the car was cold.

The response was that the noise was found to be "PUMA Measure 5150634 related". They changed the diff fluid to an "updated fluid as per PUMA Measure" and I received some interesting instructions. I was told for the next 1,500 km to drive the car on tight winding roads to repeatedly actuate the differential lock. Sounds like fun. I can do that.

The measure was supposed to actuate the gear pump in the diff so as to evenly distribute the new fluid. So far it seems to be working and I'm having fun giving the car a workout.

I just wondered what PUMA stood for.
