I hope so! Super cheap fix if so. It drove me nuts for weeks before I figured it out. Had myself convinced my engine was gonna blow up, haha.
If you can get the car up on ramps and crawl under the side just behind the front tire, the gasket is located where the cats connect to the headers. When mine went bad I could hear a ticking coming from that general area. |
I've had the same sound, thought it was the baffling in the cats coming loose because it was localized in that area for me. Ended up being the gaskets.
