You should NOT be going 120 mph to begin with but never with cold pads that are likely glazed! Please check your pads to see if they’re glazed.

BMW uses a pad with an extremely aggressive initial bite to give people a feeling of high confidence in the braking system. I personally don’t like it especially in stop-n-go driving. It’s difficult to find a street pad with that same level of COF at low temps and strong braking performance/modulation at all temps. With your new brake kit, having such a high initial bite may cause you to overslow the car when braking.
