The truth about matte "frozen" BMW colors

I did a lot or research about frozen paint before i bought my current car and i will admit that i was originally scared of the finish but after 2 months of "living with it every day" … this is the best paint ever … if you use the right products!

A big help has been the products that i purchased through the chemical guys. they have videos and how to's: posted for everything they sell right on their site.

I bought a foam blaster that allows me to rinse the car then hit it with matte auto wash which creates super suds right from my garden hose. I let it sit for a few mins and then rinse and air-dry with a modified leaf blower with a shorter nozzle. I finish it with matte detailer and it looks great.

[any wash that doesn't include wax or silicones (doesn't say "wash & wax") should work … even Armor-All Car Wash Concentrate available everywhere. if really dirty you may need to use a microfiber wash mitt]

As for bugs and bird crap, i use a detailer spray and a microfibre cloth similar to what i have done on all of my previous cars, but with a matte detailer.

The key difference is that the matte paint never looks dirty and with the right products and techniques it is easy to live with everyday!

The next adventure is to try out my BMW matte nano wax as per member edu09!!!

Cheers
