Many people are suggesting that things will go wrong with an E46 if i get it and to be honest, i dont mean to sound like a brat, but i dont want to deal with anything for at least the first 6-8 months of me getting the car. i want to enjoy the car and be able to use it to its full capacity.
If you're not going to track it, why does the power matters? Especially since you're in NY.
If you must have the power, have you considered a used Corvette?
If you prefer newer cars, have you considered Subaru BRZ?
E46 M3 is a pretty solid car. Especially if you get a low/mid miles 2006 MY, you'll be fine.

PS: Syncro-whatever is definitely a cool technology, but at the end of the day, just a toy and it is useless. It is really not that hard to perform heel&toe.
