The 20x9 wheel with a 245/30/20 wheel has a larger overal diameter in comparison to the 245/35/19 wheel.

If the same tire is used in both specifications, the 245/30/20 tire has an overall diameter of 25.85" while the 245/35/19 has an overall diameter of 25.77. This is not a large difference by any means, but the 20" is simply larger, not smaller.

With that said, a standard ZCP wheel which measures 19x9 ET31 fitted with the factory 245/35/19 tires rubs on a lowered M3 with a 20mm spacer up front which makes the effective offset 11mm.

The Ericsson spec wheel is 20x9 ET8. It is larger with a more aggressive offset, 3mm more than a ZCP wheel with a 20mm spacer up front which does rub.
