FWIW, The S6 motor is way under rated from the factory. Actual output is like 460-480hp and a roughly equal amount of torque. This has been shown on multiple independent dynos. If feels a bit freaky when something this big moves so fast.
Still, the S65 is, subjectively, a more enjoyable motor. |
Yeah, I know this engine is largely underated, and the coolest part is that these Audis F/I engines can generally take a lot more then what they come with so no worrys to have when getting an aftermarket tune!! And yeah the S65 is totally a piece of art and that 8300rpm melody is truly something special but I almost certain that 600lb-ft of torque in a small german sport sedan could make me forget about it! But for sure the best thing is still to have both like you do!
Please do me a favor, go tune your S6 and come back with a review!
By the way, what does "FWIW" stands for?!
