I would guess that BMW is probably looking at the DCTs closely for failure modes. Even if its just the lines?...still find that odd.

I think that the failed DCTs have led to...hopefully...something even more reliable on the F10 M5. Which is supposed to be the same tranny except it has been strengthened to handle more torque.

All in an effort to put the SMG out of everyone's memories???
Not really sure of the "failed" DCT's you speak of... Unless you're referring to SC'd. I've come to the conclusion that these trannys are pretty tough.
