Regarding the speed of the F8x vs E9x, it is noticeably quicker. But side by side, the F8x has no sensation of speed behind it because of the torque. It felt like the typical turbo point and squirt driving style, so you end up going stupid fast and don't even know it. The E9x is very obvious because of the V8 you have to wring out, and it gives you the full sensation and noise behind the speed.
Kind of like Clarkson's comments on an Aston, "You think, "I'm going a million!", then you look down and go, "oh"."
