I'm with you there.
I've driven the M2 on track and have one at home although it isn't mine.
The engine is even worse than the S55 as it's a tuned N55. It weighs as much as a M4. No CF roof, no M seats, no M hood... and yes, no M mirrors either. Why exactly should I like this?
Other than the cute proportions I see zero allure in the M2. Same story as the 1M Coupe by the way
