I agree with skierman64, inside mount. You can see what you were doing at a particular moment, plus you can see from a perspective fairly close to the driver's perspective what line you chose.
If you're curious, I posted a couple of vids shot with the gopro hd hero and using a cruise cam short bar mount a while ago in this thread.
