Yes we do get snow in Omaha. Last year was not bad, still there was one occasion when I could not get to the hospital with the M3 on snow tires. The main issue is getting out of our street. Compacted snow or up to 3 inch fresh snow is fine with the M3 on snow tires.
I am not entirely convinced that the C4S would be better (AWD will help for sure) but the front clearance is not much better than the M3.
