Maybe...maybe not. Wax definitely gives an added layer of protection and a deep shine, especially on black cars.
It's for sure a pain in the a$$ to do which is why I'm thinking of going the sealant route. Spray waxes are the easiest to apply but they last for like 3 weeks.
