You will always pay more at CarMax. However, you get 5 days to return it and a 30 day warranty. Plus, for $3-$5ish (YMMV) you can usually get a pretty good warranty with a $150-$300 deductible that includes everything that isn't specifically listed. Pretty painless purchase and financing too.

It is essentially the only place I am looking for a m3 from because I am risk adverse and can not do any of my own work.

Used CarMax and MaxCare for our z4 and it all worked at.
