I always carried a spare battery for my blackberry because I would always go through the first one. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury with the iPhone.

There are cases with built in batteries
I use them when I go abroad
I let mine die twice and charge to 100%
Overall, I'm not dissatisfied with the battery, but it's pretty much the same as it was on my 4
