Nice work, but what's the point? No video, no boosted antenna reception... Does it stay there if you take a turn quickly?
If you have combox you could also disconnect where the blue USB wire goes to your baseplate and stick a USB port under there. That way you could have a dedicated power/usb for your homemade snap in, and still retain the one in the center armrest.
