Without question, aero enhancements are amongst the most visually impactful modifications you can add to your car. Indeed, adding a carbon fiber front lip is especially popular; it instantly transforms the front of the car and helps distinguish it from the crowd.
However, that added aggressive aesthetic comes at a price—it becomes crucial to tread more carefully across uneven streets or down steep driveways in fear of tarnishing that expensive carbon upgrade. Rather than dwell on the negative, Acexxon has fashioned a solution to protect your precious lip from scrapes and more serious damage so you can enjoy your upgrade as intended.
The Acexxon kit consists of five 18” strips that affix to the underside of your lip via pre- installed 3M double sided tape. Three of the five pieces feature a “smooth” end which is designed to fit flush with the leading edge of your front lip. The remaining two pieces have more contour flex sections to adequately wrap around the curved proportions of your lip with ease. Compared to other kits on the market, Acexxon’s design will only require trimming to remove excess material at the ends of the lip.
Acexxon’s foresight led them to create two unique variants of their carbon lip protector. While both variants are constructed from polyurethane, the second version is aptly named “heavy-duty” to suit its purpose. Indeed, the heavy-duty designation denotes a harder, thicker compound (5.47mm vs 3.80mm) to cope with the rigors of regular road contact. But despite its more rigid makeup, the heavy-duty kit installs just as easily as the standard version.
Once installed, you’ll barely be able to notice the strips are even there. Given how much peace of mind Acexxon’s protection strips add, it’s no surprise how popular they’ve been—they protect your precious investment for an incredibly modest price.
The standard kits are best suited for owners looking for the stealthiest install and who will only occasionally see contact (i.e. rare trailer loading situations, weekend vehicle, etc.). The heavy-duty kits are much more robust and offer better all-around protection for daily duty cars or for extra assurances against unpredictable driving situations and debris.
