I say go for the R8, it will be tougher to make big power but it will be much more planted.

My father has a 997tt with a tune/exhaust and on hard acceleration the front end is extremely floaty. I hate the feeling. The Porsche will most likely need extensive suspension work for it to feel as planted as the R8. Either that or get a 430 Scud. You dont need more power.
