Mine is up to 45000 km, hard but fair use incl 10+ track days, where the temp regularly goes up to 1/2 way between half and 3/4. Sustained periods between 6500-8000 rpm.
The car loves it, brakes would be the area which goes.... (much more than big luxury barges)
Maintenance: Replaced front tires once, backs twice, 1 litre of oil outside regular services, and the socket for my ipod broke.
Under BMW warranty - and I specifically told them I was going to do track days, if you can buy an extended warranty I would 100% do that.
