I love driving my M3 in winter. Definitely you need a good set of winter tires though.

Gotta love getting stuck behind a "sandblasting" truck and then trying to pass. Or getting behind a row of the salt trucks as they shoot out rock salt in a wide dispersal on the 401. 4-5 trucks and you have no choice but to either slow way down and wait, or blast by in an open lane as you wince and get peppered with cross-fire.
Part of the reason I moved away, so "no thanks" can work in some cases. Don't miss the -45 deg C winters in Manitoba either, dry squeaking snow underfoot as the moisture freezes around your nostrils and your face goes numb, and that's all after the first 30 seconds or so, without any wind blowing either....LOL. Add in the wind and your face goes numb and frozen. |
